Is the 2024 BMX X3 a Good Car?
Yes, the 2024 X3 is an excellent luxury compact SUV. It’s exceedingly practical, with roomy front and rear seats, loads of cargo space and an intuitive infotainment system. Engine performance ranges from punchy to powerful, and tight, composed handling makes the X3 a joy to wing through curves. A lengthy list of standard features adds to its appeal. The X3 is pricey — near the top of the class — but it delivers plenty for the money.
There’s also the performance-oriented BMW X3 M, which we review separately.
Should I Buy the 2024 BMX X3?
For an upscale small SUV with a smooth ride and impressive performance, the X3 is hard to beat. However, the Porsche Macan is even quicker and more athletic than the X3, but it costs more and isn’t as roomy or practical. The Audi Q5 is a good match for the X3 and is similarly engaging, but it’s not quite as smooth on the road. The Genesis GV70 delivers knockout value for a nice price, but it isn’t quite as polished as the BMW overall. For something more opulent than the X3 with similarly refined driving dynamics, the Mercedes-Benz GLC is impressive and certainly worth considering.
